Returns & Exchanges Policy – Petit Kids

We hope you love your purchase from Petit Kids, but we understand that sometimes an item may not meet your expectations.

This policy outlines how to return, exchange, or request a credit for your purchase.


Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

For full-priced items, you may request:

  • An exchange, or
  • A store credit / gift voucher

Postage costs are non-refundable.

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.


Eligible Returns & Exchanges

To qualify for an exchange or store credit:

  1. Proof of purchase must be provided (store receipt or online invoice)
  2. Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt
  3. Items must be unworn, unused, and in original condition
  4. All tags must remain attached
  5. Original packaging must be included
  6. Items must have been purchased from a Petit Kids store or online

Items That Cannot Be Returned

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Underwear
  • Swimwear
  • Hosiery

Gift Orders

  • Gifts can only be exchanged, not refunded
  • Proof of purchase and the gift giver’s name may be required
  • No refunds or store credit will be issued to the gift recipient

Faulty or Damaged Items

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if your item:

  • Has a manufacturing defect
  • Is not fit for its intended purpose
  • Is significantly different from its description
  • Breaches a consumer guarantee

How to report a faulty item:

  1. Email lauren@buttonagency.com.au
  2. Include your Order/Invoice number and photos of the item if possible
  3. We may request the item to be returned for assessment

Once assessed, we will notify you by email and offer:

  • A replacement,
  • Store credit, or
  • A refund to the original payment method

Refunds are processed using the original payment method only. Cash refunds will not be provided. Processing may take a few business days depending on your bank.


Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return postage, including tracking
  • We recommend using a tracked postage service as we cannot take responsibility for parcels that are lost in transit
  • Please forward tracking details so that we too can track the parcel
  • For exchanges, a $14.50 Australia-wide postage fee applies for replacement items, payable prior to dispatch

Returning Online Orders In-Store

  • Online purchases cannot be returned in-store unless previously arranged
  • Our online and in-store systems operate separately
  • Store staff cannot issue refunds or credits for online orders
  • Staff may accept items for return and forward to Head Office for processing

Please contact Customer Service before visiting a store.


Exchanges

If your requested exchange item:

  • Is unavailable, or
  • Requires additional payment

A member of our Customer Service team will contact you to arrange alternatives or issue store credit.


Special Notes

  • Petit Kids reserves the right to refuse items that do not comply with these conditions
  • Non-compliant items may be returned to the customer
